Transitional Trench Coat

The transition from summer to fall on the East Coast is an awkward one – typically involving lots of layers and an uncomfortable mix of shivering and sweating that changes by the hour. So investing in a coat for those fleeting chilly moments always seemed like a waste of money and effort. Until I tried on a trench coat.

I never understood the need for a trench coat, but always thought it might serve as a good transition coat. That… and there is serious potential for looking like a chic af Londoner running from stormy skies under a bubble umbrella. Since I am not from London and bubble umbrellas appear slightly claustrophobic, I decided to tackle for the chic af factor. And what better way to achieve it than a sleek new trench coat?

You know when you try on a piece of clothing and instantly feel like it’s ‘the one’ and immediately fall in love? For me it’s a pretty rare occurrence. But, that’s what happened when I tried on this trench from AllSaints for the first time. Lightweight, feminine and durable, I now know why people search and search for the perfect trench coat. Because if the so called perfect trench felt even half as amazing as this, I’d be hooked too.
